Enjoy a day out at The Hepworth Wakefield this February half term and get creative as a family while you explore the galleries and garden. There’s something fun happening every day from Sat 10 to Sun 18 Feb, including printmaking workshops and pop-up art pods.

A highlight of the week is the Space, Rhythm and Print family workshop. Drop-in on Sun 11, Tue 13, Wed 14, Thur 15, Sat 17 and Sun 18 Feb, 11am – 3.45pm, to make your very own print to take home. Activities in the learning studios and galleries are free with an exhibition ticket, which are FREE for Members, Wakefield District residents and under 18s.

The Hepworth Wakefield café serves food for children or you can take a packed lunch to enjoy in the indoor picnic area or warm space. The Hepworth Wakefield is accessible, has baby changing facilities and plenty of room for buggies and pushchairs too.

Castle Howard Skelf Island Adventure Playground

The family nature trail is a waymarked route around the Cliffe House grounds, taking you through mature woodland & open glades. Look out for boards along the trail with flora and fauna guides | Use the map to answer the questions from the boards | Play natural noughts and crosses | Make some natural art with fallen branches, nuts, leaves etc. | Make a mud face or sculpture. At the end of the trail return your completed map to our kiosk & earn yourself a tasty treat.
