Definitely one of our favourites! Their so so much to see and the aquarium viewing area is huge so you can easily spot the penguins, sharks, turtles, tropical fish and so much more!
They have an annual pass so you can go back as many time as you want that year for FREE!

2) Tropical World, Leeds
Nestled in Roundhay Park, if it’s a cold day Tropical World is the perfect place to go! With meerkats, snakes, butterflies and birds, you get to see them all whilst being is tropical heat!!
Remember under 5’s go FREE too!!

3) Eureka, Halifax
The National Children’s Museum is huge and so much fun!!! The attraction is divided into different zones that has over 400 interactive, hands on exhibits. Downstairs children can take part in different roles either in the bank, supermarket or car garage! Upstairs, is all about me where children can look at teeth, organs and how a baby grows!
Annual pass available. FREE return visits rest of the year!

4) The Hepworth, Wakefield
The Hepworth Wakefield is your space to explore, play and create together. Explore & Draw packs have been created for families to explore our artworks, galleries and garden with specially devised looking and drawing activities!

5) Grass Hoppers, Tong & Tingley Garden Centre
Large indoor soft play with sections for a range of ages with a shop for role play and sports pitch to kick balls. The outdoor bouncy cushion is also covered so it can be used in bad weather too!

6) Calypso Cove, Barnsley
Calypso Cove’s waterpark is home to flumes, slides and waves. There is a recently re-developed splash area, Barnacle Bay, for little ones to splash and play with water features, turning buckets and a mini slide.

7) Xscape, Castleford
This huge complex has a wide range of family activities for a exciting day out indoors! Whether you want to visit the cinema, bounce on trampolines, try indoor climbing, have a go at adventure golf or get yourself on the snow slope there’s plenty to do!!

8) National Railway Museum, York
If you have a train mad child this is a great day out! You can combine it with a train ride from Wakefield and you’ll be in York within 45 minutes! There’s loads of trains to be seen, with a role play area for kids and train rides too! Mini Mumbler loves the model railway area and watching all the different engines race around the tracks!

9) William’s Den, North Cave
A huge indoor adventure playground sits alongside their outdoor area but I think there is enough to keep the kids occupied just in the indoor area. There’s water, sand, rope nets, pulley buckets and lots of adventuring to burn off that energy!
