Reviewed October 2020
Cloud 9 had a huge make over, prior to their first opening in October 2020, including installation of a shiny new soft play area, a separate party room and big kids area to keep them amused whilst their younger siblings run off some energy and since then they have added a baby sensory room & jungle learning room in Winter 2021!!
The area is intimate making it the perfect place to keep a pre-schooler entertained whilst looking after a smaller baby!
Baby Area
There is a decent sized enclosed, separate area for babies with a range of soft play props and interactive toys to keep the tiniest ones stimulated!
Main Soft Play Area
This is a 2 level soft play with the bottom floor being lit up by flashing lights. I loved the fish that moved across the floor screen too!
There’s 3 slides so plenty of space for little and big ones to zoom down!! The tunnel slide is lit up with lights too which I thought was great as some little ones find these too enclosed and scary … but not at Cloud 9!!
There’s also a 3 person climbing wall which our 5 year old really enjoyed!!
Chill Out Zone / The Den
This area is at the back of Cloud 9 in a new area! It’s darker and has sofas for older kids to chill out! Mini Mumbler enjoyed spending time in here whilst having a bit of a rest and grabbed a book to read! Cloud 9 tell me that there will be additional equipment added into this area such as a Foosball table and games machine!
Cafe and Food
We attended the lunchtime session so of course we had to check out the menu! Mini Mumbler had a children’s ham sandwich lunch pack and for £3.50 I was really impressed with how much was included! He had clearly worked up an appetite and the plate was clean at the end! I had a tuna sandwich which came with crisps and a side salad and was on really thick, fresh bread!!
We chose to eat our lunch in the party room which gave additional space to the main room and meant Mini Mumbler could eat his food without the distraction of the soft play!

We really enjoyed our visit to Cloud 9 and are so pleased to see it open again as it’s a great asset to the centre of Ossett!! There are more plans for the future with further expansion and we can’t wait to see how Cloud 9 develops!!
Disclaimer: Wakefield Mumbler were asked by Cloud 9 to review their brand new soft play area and were paid to conduct this. All comments and opinions are my own and I would only ever publish a place that I would feel happy to recommend to other parents!
