We’re going on a Minibeast Hunt!
Pick up your free Marvellous Minibeasts spotters sheet and help us count the creepy crawlies that call the Castle their home. What will you find?
Sheets available all week from the Pontefract Castle Visitor Centre and Gift Shop during opening hours.
Marvellous Minibeasts Week: Meet the Little Rotters with Renewi

Have you ever wondered what’s up with worms?
Get your hands dirty in this interactive session and learn all about worms! Explore how they are garden heroes, making compost by turning scraps into soil.
Meet some wiggly worms and make your own mini wormery experiment to take home!
£2.50 per child, accompanying adults free

Bugs are brilliant!
Join us to find out what sort of habitats are best for different types of bugs. You can also make your own mini bug hotel to take home and provide shelter to more marvellous minibeasts! We will be using lots of fun natural and recycled materials.
