At ARTventurers, we LOVE getting children involved in art at an early age – which is why our classes are specially designed for the little artists aged 6 months plus. Art has SO many benefits – from squishing and squidging in paint to explore colours and textures, learning about the world around us, developing fine and gross motor skills, making friends and building confidence.

The aim of all of the ARTventurers sessions is to nurture and develop a child’s creativity by providing them with the opportunities, guidance, inspiration and materials to explore, experiment and express themselves through a range of colourful art and creative activities. PLUS all of our activities and sessions for preschool age children are carefully planned to support the Early Learning goals and in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

All children are individual and the free flow element of our ARTventurers classes recognises this – all of the children can explore and create at their own pace and in their own time. A jam packed session of colourful, creative (and often messy) fun!!

At ARTventurers we are passionate about getting children involved in art activities from an early age and our weekly baby classes start from just

6 months old! The benefits of getting children involved in art are numerous in terms of coordination, motor skills, development, social interaction and tons more!

We provide little ones with opportunities, guidance, inspiration and materials to explore, experiment and express themselves through a range of colourful art, craft and sensory activities. All of our sessions are carefully planned to support the Early Learning goals, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Our free flow classes encourage each child to explore and create at their own pace, we value children as individuals and recognise their unique talents and abilities.

A musical sensory baby development class for younger babies featuring a calming baby massage at the end of class to ensure a long nap for your baby.

A fun musical baby development class focusing on both gross and fine motor skills, language and communication and body awareness. A fun bright class aimed at strengthening the bond and making both mum and baby smile.

Little Learners offers multi award-winning educational messy play and mark making classes for babies to preschoolers. It was created and founded by a qualified primary teacher who designed an innovative mark making programme following the journey of four fun characters – ‘The Mark Makers’. Children focus on one character each week in our classes.

Messy play, painting, play dough, scribbling, dance, and more are used to encourage children to mark make and learn early writing skills through play.

At Little Learners your child will be encouraged to use hands, fingers, feet, and toes to make marks which will help to strengthen their core muscles and develop their gross and fine motor skills. These skills are vital for holding and controlling a pencil and letter and number formation when they reach school age.

Our aim is to make writing fun and encourage every child to MAKE THEIR MARK!

We offer weekly classes during term time, special monthly classes for Dad’s, special events and we also offer parties tailored to your requirements – they can be as messy as you want them to be, and to the theme of your choice!

Term classes held on Tuesdays at The Little Hub, Flanshaw – 10:00am – 10:45am

Daddy Learn With Me! Classes held at The Little Hub, Flanshaw on the first Saturday of each month. A class for Dad’s to have fun with their little ones, build confidence and meet other Dad’s.

Our tiny baby classes are aimed at 3 months – 9 months. These sessions give mums one-on-one time with their babies in a warm cosy environment with time to chat and share stories.  We appreciate every little one is different so it doesn’t matter if they need changing, feeding or cuddling – everyone is made welcome.  We can also adapt our payment schedule to suit those looming return to work days so you can continue to enjoy the fun up until the very last minute.

Moo Music is an exciting, interactive music and sensory session for babies up to 4 years. Baby Moo is a class suitable for newborns up to walkers and Mini Moo is targeted at toddlers until they turn 4 years of age. Come along and meet Maggie Moo and the Croo! We Sing! We Moove! We Play! We Learn! We Have Fun! Each week sees a new theme including a day in the garden, a day at the beach and weather week!

Moo Music classes will help your child gain confidence and develop memory, language and coordination skills in an exciting, enjoyable and multi-sensory way; which is great fun for children and parents/carers too. While Baby Moo is a calmer class, Mini Moo is a faster paced music and sensory session involving lots of singing, games, movement, signing and sensory play. There are lots of opportunities for creative role play and a variety of props and musical instruments!

Music Bus provides fun, interactive 40 minute sessions which bring nursery rhymes to life through cute, engaging puppets, props and colourful storyboards.  Sessions also include dedicated percussion time, sensory play and themed weeks throughout each term.

We also recognise the value that Music Bus sessions can bring to parents, grandparents and carers, in providing a friendly, social and supportive environment – with the opportunity to socialise and make new friends, whilst spending quality time doing structured and rewarding activities with their child.

Local Classes 

Upon booking, parents will be given exclusive access to the Music Bus at Home Facebook page, where pre-recorded versions of each session will be available to watch in the comfort of your own home. This is very useful, if you are ever unable to make a class, or you just want to keep your little one entertained. Music bus at Home also provides a place for parents to stay connected and chat. Craft ideas will also be shared ahead of themed or half term specials and there are resources to download, such as, Music Bus colouring sheets. Puddle Ducks Wakefield runs classes in pools across Wakefield, Barnsley, Sheffield, Bradford & South Leeds, and we have just celebrated our 15th year in business!

Our Baby & Pre-School programme (0-4 years) provides a wonderful bonding experience and our progressive lesson plans instil a water confidence and love of swimming. Our highly trained and qualified teachers are experts at identifying children’s levels of ability and adapting activities to the individual, nurturing confidence and encouraging natural ability, all whilst having lots of fun.

Our Baby & Pre-school programme is offered through six levels:

Floaties (0-9 months),
Splashers (6-15 months),
Kickers (15 months to 2.5 years),
Little Dippers (2-5 years) and
Dippers and Dabblers (2-5 years ability related classes)

For older children, whether they have come from a pre-school class or never been in the water before, Swim Academy (4-10 years) will take your child from ‘getting their faces wet’ to being an independent swimmer and who knows, maybe a future Olympic champion.

Water confidence builds life confidence.

Our leading swim programme has been developed to build water confidence and skills throughout your little one’s first five years. We work closely with Swim England, the national governing body for swimming, and we’ve woven their learn to swim framework through our programme. You’ll love nothing more than seeing their progression as your little one moves from fun floating, kicking and splashing to swimming independently.

And not only will your little one develop key aquatic skills, but we’ll also give them the knowledge to keep themselves safe. By the end of their journey, your child will be able to independently swim to the side and climb out to safety, wherever they are.

You can be safe in the knowledge that you’re learning from the best. Our teachers are the only ones who can hold Swim England’s Level 3 qualification, the highest that can be achieved. And they’re the most passionate around, there to guide you at every stroke of your little one’s journey. Because the more confident they are in the water, the more confident they’ll be out of it too.
