Boston Park Farm is still a traditional working farm. The animal trail allows children to get up close with a wide range of farm animals.

Pigs in the Wood is a non-profit sanctuary for pigs that have been rescued from various situations. We are based in the village of Scissett, Huddersfield in 10 acres of woodland where the pigs roam free and live naturally.
We are open to visitors Thursday-Sunday. All visitors are expected to arrive for 10:30 to ensure we do not disturb the pig’s routine. We would ask that you message beforehand to ensure we are available.
Activities include:
– Feeding and interacting with the pigs
– Tour of the wood (hopefully with some of the pigs!)
– Information about the pigs, their stories and their welfare

The zoo is home is over 120 animals from lemurs to reindeers and is a really personal, friendly facility where children can get really close to the animals.

Wigfield Farm has three main functions; a working farm producing livestock, a base for Barnsley College courses in Horticulture and Animal care, and an Open Farm and Visitors Centre accessible to the local and wider community.

The Wonkey Donkey Visitors Centre is a family-run donkey sanctuary. They rescue and rehabilitate ill, mistreated and abandoned donkeys.
