Go out for a Walk
A festive walk is a great way to blow off the cobwebs and get some fresh air!
We have five festive family walks for you to try in and around Wakefield
We love having a craft day; whether it’s painting, creating models or making keepsakes.
Take a look at our Christmas Crafts blog for some ideas – it’s never too late to make a Christmas Tree decoration!
Visit a local Soft Play or Play Cafe
Indoor play areas are great when the weather is a bit poor and you want to burn off some of you little ones energy!
Our local soft play listings have them all covered but please do check they are open before travelling!
Head over to Xscape Yorkshire
Xscape Yorkshire, just off Junction 32 on M62 by Castleford, has loads going on for families.
You can get all wintery at the SnoZone and take the kids sledging as well as polishing up skiing and boarding skills on their ‘real’ snow slope.
Gravity will definately burn off some energy with the huge trampoline park, rock climbing zone and aerial adventures!
For younger kids, Xplore have their soft play zone and crazy golf course too
There’s loads more family activities to do too as well many family favourite restaurants!
Wakefield Museums & Libraries
These will be open again on Thursday 2nd January
We hope these can give you a few ideas for the next couple of days! If you’ve visited a great family friendly place, please do share this on the Wakefield Mumbler Chat Group
