From blooming wildflowers to dazzling dragonflies there’s so much to enjoy in nature at this time of year, and with a long bank holiday weekend on the cards in June it’s the perfect excuse to gather your family for a good, old-fashioned picnic.
We’re holding Big Picnic events at more than 20 of our nature reserves over the Jubilee bank holiday weekend (2-5 June) and during the half term holidays, so whether you’d prefer to relax in the dappled shade of a woodland or take in spectacular views from a cliff top, there are plenty of places to tempt you.
With our special Wildlife Detective activity packs (just £3.50, at participating reserves), young explorers will be able to join Detective Hoot and Constable Crumb to solve an intriguing mystery, while learning how make picnics as wildlife friendly as possible.
There will be marked trails to follow, nostalgic, fun family activities and even selfie stations too, so what are you waiting for? Start planning your family’s adventure today!
