Winter Illuminations
See our award-winning Enchanted Forest come to life after dusk as our Winter Illuminations, Yorkshire’s premier light event, transforms Stockeld Park into a dazzling, twinkling wonderland! Experience one of the country’s largest and most creative light displays set in the grounds of the historic Stockeld Park Estate. Dazzling light effects, a captivating soundscape and animated installations come together through almost a mile of beautiful, ancient woodland in our Enchanted Forest. As dusk falls you can see the park come to life with thousands of twinkling lights creating a magical winter wonderland. An enchanting experience for all ages, that has to be seen to appreciate its true beauty and magic! This event takes place from dusk and is open for all ages, from children to grandparents! The Winter Illuminations are open from the 20 November to 4 January, so make sure you don’t miss out!

Santa’s Arrival Parade
Santa is coming back to town in style with his glittering sleigh arrival parade! Santa will arrive on his sleigh with his reindeer and elves, and will parade through the Enchanted Forest to mark the opening of our magical Santa’s Grotto and the beginning of the festive season! Stockeld Park is the home of Christmas and the excitement starts now! The children’s anticipation for Santa’s arrival is always a sight to behold! The excitement and pure magic of this event makes it a great family day out for all. If you want to get in the Christmas spirit then this is definitely the place to be! This is a great opportunity for your children to see Santa up close and personal before the big day! Why not finish the day with a magical trip to meet Santa in person in Santa’s Grotto? He’ll just need a little bit of time to get himself and his reindeer settled in first! The Santa’s arrival parade will take place twice each day on the 19th and 20th November. This is included in the price of your ticket, if you have booked for this date.

Santa’s Grotto
At Stockeld Park, we always like to make Santa feel at home and so as always, we have prepared him a beautiful, cosy log cabin ready for his
arrival all the way from Lapland! So get your family together and throw yourselves into the spirit of Christmas! We’re very lucky to have the man who makes Christmas visit every year and Santa is back for 2022! Our Santa’s Grotto is the most wonderful experience for both adults and children. With twinkling lights and Santa in a rustic wooden cabin, the whole family will feel the festive cheer here! Stockeld Park really is the true home of Christmas! So make sure you don’t miss out on all the festive fun!

Christmas Tree Shop
Whether you wish to choose your tree in person, or would prefer to buy online and have delivered to your door, Stockeld Park has the perfect
Christmas Tree for you! You do not need a ticket, or to pre-book an appointment to visit the Christmas Tree shop at Stockeld Park, just turn up! Open from 25th November. We sell real, non-needle drop Nordmann Fir Christmas Trees from 3-12 ft, all grown right here on the Stockeld Park Estate.

Ice Skating
Come to Stockeld Park for a great day of ice skating fun! The whole family will have a great time whizzing around our ice rink! During our
Christmas season you can come and enjoy a magical experience that is offered nowhere else! Loved by the whole family, this is a great day out even during the cold winter months! Our 630 square meter ice rink enables you to keep dry while offering open-air views across the parkland, to the Estate’s stunning Enchanted Forest! The rink is covered from the elements, but also open along the sides, so no matter what the winter weather is doing, you can come and enjoy the fabulous skating while still enjoying the same spectacular views of the surroundings! Enjoy this magical activity together as a family, and create the most wonderful memories.

Santa’s Panto Breakfast
Add that extra special magic to your child’s Christmas this year by joining Santa for breakfast and watching his magical panto, at the true home of Christmas, Stockeld Park! Snuggle up with your loved ones and be transported to a magical world of merriment and yuletide wonder as we treat you to a morning of Christmas adventure and festive frivolities! Enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere as you arrive at the beautiful Stockeld Park Estate before the crowds of the day, where we will serve you a freshly cooked full English breakfast, a selection of cereals, smoothies, juices, hot tea and fresh coffee along with a few other Christmas treats. Following breakfast, the show will begin, and then it will be time to meet Santa himself who will have gifts for every child and will be ready to pose for photos with you are your loved ones! At the end of the experience, you will be free to enjoy all that Stockeld Park has to offer for the rest of the day, including our magical winter illuminations, which make the park glow with thousands of twinkling lights from dusk!

Nordic Skiing
Enjoy the Forest Winter Illuminations from a different view by taking the 1.2km Nordic Ski Trail route! Strap on your cross-country skis and set off through a fairytale forest trail. Suitable for everyone over the age of 6, a magical winter adventure awaits you! It’s an activity that’s great fun for all the family but especially the kids and big kids amongst us! The Ski Trail is open all day, so whatever time you head down you’ll be able to enjoy the fun.
