Blossom & Bee Trail at Nostell

Explore the family trail and uncover some fun facts about the incredible honeybee as you buzz around the gardens and through the woodland play area, completing activities and games along the way. Find out about the role of the workers, drones and the queen bee and experience the sounds of a busy beehive. Once you’ve completed the trail, head to the Orangery to have a go at some fun craft activities* and head to the bottom of the kitchen garden to see the fruit trees in full bloom.

Our Welly Walk leads you from the stepping stones to the Cavendish Pavilion cafe, taking in bridges, grassland, ancient woodland and riverside paths.

Children will encounter lots of fun obstacles along the way. Let your little ones put their balance skills to the test, scramble up nets, navigate the pole-to-pole and try their hardest to keep clean as they come down the slides!

Soak up the spring light on a stroll from Fountains Abbey to Studley Royal Water Garden. The dramatic abbey ruins at Fountains are the largest monastic ruins in the country.

Spring is a colourful time of year in Studley Royal water garden. Follow the gentle banks of the River Skell down from the abbey to the garden, which has been channelled into canals, cascades and tranquil moon ponds. There is a real sense of peace on this walk.

Tropical Butterfly House

Explore the exotic indoor rainforest environment of our Tropical House. Home to creatures from around the world including minibeasts, butterflies, birds, bats, creepy-crawlies and caimans. Daily animal encounters give you the chance to see and learn about the habitat and lifestyle of lemurs, meerkats, owls, otters, snakes, and other amazing creatures

Tropical World

Yorkshire Sculpture Park

YSP welcomes families and aims to be as family-friendly as possible. In the open air, children are free to run around, making the most of our 500 acres of historic parkland, download the park map here

 

Families will also enjoy walks in the newly restored lakes and woodland where they’ll discover bridges, follies and incredible historical features including a Greek-style summer house, a now land-locked Boat House, an Obelisk, Stepping Stones and a magical Shell Grotto.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a unique walk through wildlife park located just outside Doncaster.
