There is likely to be significant traffic disruption to roads in the district on Friday 4 May as both the women’s and men’s races travel through.
Rolling road closures lasting approximately 50 minutes will be in place along the race route (below) just before and during the two races.
The exit slip roads of the M62 at Junction 32 will also be closed from 9am to 11am and 3pm to 5pm as the women’s and men’s races pass through Pontefract and Castleford. Diversions will be in place.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan their day in advance to avoid being affected by the rolling road closures and the closure of the Junction 32 exit slip roads. Spectators are also encouraged to ensure they are in their preferred location in good time.
