Playgroups and classes
Wakefield and the surrounding areas are a fantastic place for bringing up children and there is plenty going on children.
Below is a list of all the local playgroups and drop in clinics throughout the week and also details of all the children’s activities classes available across our area. Please contact the organisers directly if you would like to find out further information or to confirm class times or costs.

Roll up Roll up the ARTcart is popping up again. Bring your friends and family and take part in some art making, art thinking, and art playing. This ARTcart is inspired by Bob & Roberta Smith and will be situated in the open air at Learning Centre.
Come along and play at one of our fabulous Mess Around Messy Play Sessions. We provide multi sensory, messy play experiences for babies aged 6 months (or sitting unaided) to 5 years old. Our sessions are special as everyone is welcome to join in including older siblings up to the age of 10, who can participate in the Big Kids Create and Make Corner at our week-end and school holiday sessions.

For anyone who is interested if you have twins or multiples or are pregnant with. I have set up a new group for Wakefield and the surrounding areas, it’s a group to make new friends, support each other, ask for advice, weekly meetups with other people in a similar position. We normally meet up at playgroups or soft play and we are starting a weekly walk. Find us on Facebook and send a request to join and I will add you to the group. It’s called Wakefield twins and multiples.
