An event every day that begins at 12:00 pm, repeating until February 3, 2019
Join us at RSPB St Aidan’s Nature Park for a family-friendly, activity-packed celebration of World Wetlands Day 2019.
What is World Wetlands Day?
Rich in plant life, buzzing with insects and havens for rare mammals and birds, wetlands are some of the most important and beautiful parts of the natural world. They act as flood defences, store carbon, and provide homes for wildlife but sadly, many are threatened with destruction world-wide. World Wetlands Day aims to raise global awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and our planet.
Join us over the weekend for events including:
– Welly Wanging competitions
– Stall holders selling hot food, gifts and local produce
– Wetland bird identification
