If you enjoy a challenge as a family a Maize Mazeprovides good family fun for all ages, each maize is a unique design so you could visit a few this summer!
A maize maze is cut from a large field of living maize plants, most varieties are sown in the spring and are often one of the last crops to be harvested, in late September or early October.
Here are a few around our area that are open this summer 2021 in and around Wakefield.
1. Farmer Copleys Corn Maze
Farmer Copleys Corn Maze will return this summer for another 5 weeks of Corn filled fun from 1st August. The mazes are interactive meaning there’s loads to do including rubbings, Maze-0-Vision, games sheets and more activities in the fun park for all to enjoy.

Families can explore acres of corn fun in the maize maze challenge and see who can get to the finish first!
A visit to Piglets Adventure Farm is packed full of family fun & adventure, including; Farmyard Trail, Animal Barn, The Beach, Fairy Tale Trail, Crazy Golf, Bouncing Pillows, Piggy Pizza Parlour and the Ice Cream Parlour

Work your way through the maize maze completing the quiz as you go! The Maze will have wider paths than previous years for social distancing.
As well as the Maize Maze there are plenty of other things to do at Birchfield Farm located just outside Harrogate including, Woodland Walk and Den Building Area, Pedal Go-Karts, Sandpit, Outdoor Animal Pens and more!
Enjoy a field full of fun with nine acres of maize plants and never-ending paths to explore, and for younger adventurers, there’s a two-acre Scarecrow mini-maze. There is also a vintage funfair, football darts and live entertainment in the Big Top!
Running 14th July – 5th September 2021, Just off the A64 in Sherburn, midway between Malton and Scarborough.
The maize Maze has been open every year since 2000 and the pattern is always something farm related. The maize is ideal for older children but it is still accessible with a pushchair too.
Explore the miles of pathways to find hidden flags throughout the maze. Also lost in the maze is Maize Maize, she doesn’t have a flag so is a little harder to find! If you find all five then you win a lollipop. Plus all the usual fun and activities on the farm!
