1. Stockeld Park Summer Adventure
Stockeld Park is nature’s playground, where nothing is quite as it seems! With magical surprises at every turn, this is a place to spark even the wildest of imaginations! 2. National Coal Mining Museum – Summer @Pit
Grab your bucket and spade and head to the National Coal Mining Museum, where we’ll be giving you a taste of how miners spent their summer holidays with changing weekly themes! Get digging at the beach, discover the history of Gala Day, get hands-on with our pop-up crafts and even challenge yourself to do one of our trails. Then let off some steam in our Adventure Playground.

3. Grass Hoppers Indoor & Outdoor Playground
Hop along to Grass Hoppers Indoor & Outdoor Play at Tong Garden Centre for a proper playtime. Have a bounce on the jumping pillows, zoom down the zip wire, glide down the slides, explore our giant fort, drive around the race tracks and much more!
Grass Hoppers is set in a secure environment with outdoor seating, although we welcome picnics, we still have our delicious selection of hot food available.

4. Mission Out
Explore our THRILL-SEEKING active zones including The Tower Jump Pillow, The Assault Course, The Lake and much more! Experience ACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT and EPIC CHALLENGES in the GREAT OUTDOORS!
You now have the option to add The High Ropes course to your Mission Out experience at a selected time a lot during your visit with our High Ropes time slot. This means NO MORE LENGTHY QUEUES and more time to explore and have fun

5. Piglets Adventure Farm
Join us down of the farm this Summer for a Summer of Adventure! We start the summer with our “Fairies and Trolls” event from Saturday 22nd July to Sunday 6th August. The Makeover is complete, our mystical fairy’s would like to welcome you to their home but watch out for those pesky trolls! Two shows daily where you can “earn your wings” and come and meet the greet the fairies from our trail!
Next up is our Dino Adventure from Monday 7th August to Sunday 20th August. Get your little explorers ready for our new Gem Mining and Dino Dig at the beach. On stage every day there will be “The Rapture Show!” and watch out those Dinosaurs will be wandering around the park doing lots of meet and greets! Its going to be Rooooarrrrrsome!
Finally we finish our summer of adventure with “Show Time” Fatt Matt and his Lunar Circus are back with wonderful work shops that your little ones can join! Learn how to juggle, spin plates and lots more!

6. Yorkshire Sculpture Park
Everything from clay and wax sculpting to huge foam bubbles experiences and sound wave colliders are included in Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s packed holiday programme this summer.
Curiosity & Wonder is YSP’s free* summer offering created with family fun in mind and taking place throughout the school holiday period. With free admission for the under-25s, a whole family with one adult can enjoy a full day out for as little as £9!
Kicking off on Saturday, July 15, there will be live painting sessions, family life drawing sessions, rangoli radio meditation, as well as poetry reading, creative writing and wax sculpture workshops. Other activities also included.

7. Temple Newsam – All creatures great and small
During the school holidays enjoy trails and activities celebrating the animals of Temple Newsam from the rare breed animals at Home Farm to pet portraits in the house.
